A Message About COVID-19 (coronavirus disease)
March 25, 2020
After careful consideration regarding the COVID-19 outbreak and under the guidance of the Maryland Optometric Association, All Eyes on Rockville will be transitioning the bulk of our work to telephone and email for the time being. Our offices will however remain open for any medical emergencies. Moving forward, our daily operating hours will be 9am-2pm, Sunday-Friday. Per our usual schedule, we will remain closed on Saturdays.
Throughout this time, Dr. Yecheskel and the rest of the staff of AEOR have worked diligently to maintain thorough disinfection between patients and social distancing by spacing out visits appropriately. As a result, we were able to remove a piece of metal from a patient’s eye who is no longer in pain or in danger of permanently losing vision. We also saw a first responder who required his medically necessary contact lenses. We were able to fulfill that need, which enabled him to drive safely and legally and return back to work on the frontlines of this pandemic, helping to keep us all safe.
Our office will continue to remain open to such emergencies. It is our privilege to continue to provide whatever care we can do within the confines of safe practices and a safe environment for us all.
Even as we are closing our doors to non-emergencies, non-urgent care will also continue to be attended to. This includes things like sending allergy prescriptions to pharmacies, finalizing and ordering contact lens supplies and mailing previously placed orders for glasses.
We have also set up telemedicine access for those who need medical care but may not have to come in. This service will be available next week and we will follow up soon to let you know what date the service will be available and how to access it.
It is our privilege to continue to provide whatever care and service we can within the confines of safe practices and a safe environment for us all. Thank you for continuing to choose All Eyes on Rockville. Stay safe and healthy and don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Admin@AllEyesOnRockvile.com you have any questions or concerns.

The health of our patients is our top priority. We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 virus and are staying vigilant with necessary precautions and preventive measures at All Eyes On Rockville, as advised by the CDC and Montgomery County Health Department.
As accurate information is of vital importance during this time, we want to take a moment to share with you what we are doing to help ensure the safety of our patients, visitors, and staff.
Preventive Measures at Our Offices and Optical Boutique
We have always instituted smart health practices such as spacing out patients and cleaning all instruments and frames between patients. We are continuing these practices and increasing our precautions in the following ways.
During the time of appointment confirmation, we are requesting that if a patient is experiencing fever or coughing symptoms, has been exposed to someone who is, or has traveled to known areas that have been affected by the coronavirus, to please reschedule their appointment for a later time.
We are urging our staff to stay home should they feel sick.
We have increased the frequency of surface cleaning throughout common areas.
We are, as is standard policy, cleaning exam rooms and all affected surfaces in between patients.
Our patient providers and staff are washing our hands frequently throughout the day.
Our Opticians at our on-site Optical Boutique are disinfecting frames after each patient use.
We also want to ensure that our patients are taking precautions with their health at home as well as helping to prevent the spread of this virus. Here are some reminders to stay proactive during this time.
Preventive Measures for Our Patients
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before and after you apply your contact lenses as well as frequently throughout the day.
If you wear eyeglasses, clean the frames frequently with alcohol or disinfecting wipes - avoid bleach as this can damage the frames.
Keep distance from people who are exhibiting signs of respiratory illness or fever.
Avoid crowds.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow/shoulder when coughing or sneezing.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces-especially if someone is ill.
Those who have international travel plans should please take heed to the travel warnings and alerts issued by the CDC and take appropriate actions in regard to avoiding contact with others if Coronavirus symptoms present after traveling.
We will continue to monitor this situation as it evolves, and we will continue to update our community with new procedures and processes as they are put into place in effort to protect patients. Please check our website for current updates. Should you have any specific questions, please reach out to us at Admin@AllEyesOnRockvile.com.
